I'm never as inspired as I'm when I'm shooting BTBAM. ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)˚๐*˟ ♡ I'm particularly proud of what I have created this time, though. These sets are a blend of two days of Summer Slaughter, with a special series of images dedicated to mimic and match the Automata II album cover. ♡
After day 1, I was so ready to sort and edit. Got back to the hotel, got it all ready to go, I had everything with me to get a head start.... except my laptop charger. I felt like such an idiot. Thankfully, everyone on the tour that knew I was a dummy about my charger was gracious and willing to offer theirs up for me once we all made it back to the venue. So the boy and I checked out of our hotel the next morning, went on a walk, got coffee, took some really refreshing pictures around Chicago, and headed back to the venue. it was a nice change of pace before round 2 of Colors.
When we got back to the venue, I mainly just sat in The Contortionist's green room, editing what I could before doors opened.
(the biggest thanks to Joey Baca for letting me borrow his charger ◡‿◡ ♡ )
And then, doors opened and it was time to start it all over again! Enjoy this second set of everyone on the tour; knowing how everyone was going to do things and how lighting was going to be after day one, it gave me a little bit more of an ability to have an artistic flair behind the shots. ٩(^ᴗ^)۶
Thank you for the amazing weekend, everybody. ♡
I spent 2 days in Chicago, shooting Between The Buried And Me's tour for the ten year anniversary of their album, Colors, with musical support from Toothgrinder, Polyphia, and The Contortionist. It was beyond that of a dream. I got to see so many great friends and people I consider my family, and felt as if I was part of the tour for the weekend. It was entirely surreal, I couldn't have been happier. I'm only sad that it had to end.
